Alice Kryzan is big winner in Democratic Primary for the 26th (NY) Congressional District

In a three way race against two well funded opponents Alice Kryzan won the Democratic Congressional Primary for the 26th (NY) Congressional District with nearly 50% of the vote.

Her opponents were a self-financed successful businessman by the name of Jack Davis, and Jon Powers an Iraq War veteran who had no resume other than he was an Iraq War Veteran. Mr. Powers had the benefit of the support of 7 Democratic Party Chairmen of the 7 Counties in the district. These experts have a history of backing the wrong horse in Congressional races. They select candidates based on "Show me the money" and "form over substance." Hopefully Ms. Kryzan's victory tells them that kind of thinking must die...Now!

She was also routinely hammered by alleged progressive political blogs like Alan Bedenko's "The Buffalo Pundit" and Robert Harding of "The Albany Project." Each fell in love with the "Iraq War veteran label" discounting the resume. Mr. Bedenko's political aspirations outside of his Town of Clarence home been placed in jeopardy should he need go through the Town of Amherst for support.

Why Alice Kryzan? I'll tell you. Back in July, two months ago, I published on this blog my prediction that the other candidates underestimated her. This will be a race that will be determined by the voters and not the influential. I was mocked for that opinion locally and down state.

I was right, not because I am smarter than anyone else, but because I got to know Alice just a little bit. Alice won because she is intelligent, pleasant, personable, concerned, dedicated, motivated, competitive, forceful, humble, self-deprecating, friendly, has sound principles and doesn't waver, and surrounded herself with a high quality and hardworking team who really are working for a cause and has a work record that can be defended and is laudable.

When Alice wins in November, the seven counties in the district between Lake Erie and the Genesee River finally win in Washington. Enough with the political and lack of depth show horses like Republicans Jack Kemp, Bill Paxon, and Tom Reynolds, who over 35 years have played the residents of this community like a violinists with a Stradivarius knock-off.
